Empire Genoese Gilt Wood Twelve-Light Chandelier with light blue and clear crystals, consisting of a turned, carved and gilded wooden stem and twelve iron arms, gilded, arranged in two orders with crystals. It dates from the late 1700s and is in excellent condition restored and re-elected.

This chandelier is made with a central shaft of carved wood, carved with vegetal motifs and gilded in fine gold; this central support, consisting of several elements, is decorated by hand-forged iron elements, connected by a multitude of festoons of clear crystals enriched with blue crystals, surmounted by crystal flowers with the corolla in embossed and gilded brass, a precious and original detail that, together with the splendid gilding, distinguishes and emphasizes the timeless elegance of this important salon chandelier, from the end of the 18th century.

The twelve arms of the lower wooden element are made of curved gilded iron, ending in gilded iron bobeiges, as the chandelier was originally born for candle lighting. Coming from a private family in northern Italy, it is in good state of preservation, with minimal signs of wear consisting with its late 18th-century date; it has been rewired for European standards, foe 12 E14 light bulbs.
